PĀNUI | NEWSLETTER 23 OCTOBER 2020

23 Oct 2020
School will be closed Monday 26 October for Labour Day and Tuesday 27 October for Teacher Only Day. Hopefully the weather is good for us all to enjoy. School starts back at the normal time on Wednesday 28 October.
On Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. we invite you to come and meet Dwayne Woolliams who is working with your children in Te Kanawa this term. He will spend time outlining his programme and offer practical tips and suggestions to help you at home.
This week Dwayne has presented at the Auckland Primary Principals Association conference and has been incredibly well received.
Don't miss your chance to hear him.
Date: Friday 30th October
In week four there will be a Diversity Day on Friday the 30th of October. This day is to express other cultures and embrace each other's differences. Diversity Day is when the students come to school dressed up in their cultural clothes. If you do not have any culturally influenced clothes to wear, we encourage you to bring a flag, come to school dressed in the colours of the flag or draw a picture of a culture you choose. We would like you to come dressed appropriately so we do not offend any cultures. It is appreciated if your children participate in this day, so the children of Te Hihi School understand each other's cultures and uniqueness.
Hera-May and Moeata.
