PĀNUI | NEWSLETTER 25 SEPTEMBER 2020
25 Sep 2020
As we come to the end of another Covid-disrupted term, we want to say a big thanks to our parents for your understanding and support. Once again we are noticing tired children and hope that they get some time to refresh their batteries. If you are travelling, travel safe and if you are able to take some time off work to be with your children, enjoy being able to spend some time with them.
Next term, which we obviously hope won't be disrupted by Covid-19, will be busy and exciting as we work towards finishing off the year and planning for 2021.
Congratulations to all the students who competed over the past two days, celebrating and reflecting the amount of time and effort you put into your animal. The excitement of the students on both days was palpable and was a wonderful sight. A special mention to those students who took home a cup or a trophy.
Many thanks to our judges, the committee and staff who really stepped up this week to make sure the event went as smoothly as it did, to the volunteers who helped out and to those who were able to come along to support the students. It was a much smaller event than previous years but it was just as good. Well done to everyone.
We will be getting the cups and trophies engraved over the holiday break with the aim of giving them to the students to take home on Monday, 12 October.
Mrs. Whitehead was our photographer for both days and when she has had a chance to sort out the photos we will make them available for all to view. In the meantime, here is a taster of the students waiting for the prize giving for the goats and chickens.

They say that good things come in threes and once again that has come true with Laura Green being our third pregnant teacher this year. This will be Laura's first child so it is very exciting news for her and her partner. We hope that her pregnancy goes well and, when the time comes, enjoy being new parents. Laura will be with us through until the start of the new school year.
