About Mrs Kane

 

I have two children, one will be attending Te Hihi School this year and the other is  pre-schooler. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family and playing a range of sports.

I started teaching at Te Hihi School as a graduate from university and am in my second year of teaching. I did my degree extramurally while at home with my children. I chose Te Hihi School for its rural aspects as it mirrored the values that were embedded in schools I attended as a child. I enjoy the community that Te Hihi has and getting to know the families within the school.

I enjoy being a teacher at Te Hihi as I get to provide students with learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom, where students have to problem solve and apply their learning to real world experiences. I have a passion for teaching technology, science and maths to prepare students for the world they are part of.
