I teach the New Entrants in the Blake hub.

I started my teaching career by being a teacher-aide while my own 2 daughters were going to school. I found that listening to students and helping them to learn was so satisfying that I trained at the Auckland College of Education and then Auckland University to attain my Bachelor of Education.

I have been teaching for ten years at three different schools, first in a new entrant classroom and then I was at a small school and taught all the new children and up to year 4. In 2016 I was lucky enough to be able to work at Te Hihi School and I have never been happier. I find the Inquiry teaching to be very exciting and rewarding for the students and it is a pleasure to watch them grow more independent with every topic we discover.
