Kia ora e te Hillary whānau,

We have made it to the last week of term and we are sure you have some rather tired little people to battle with now. This week we have taken that into consideration and created a very interactive virtual classroom for them to explore. While the platforms we are using for our work will be the same and are linked in as per usual, there are some hidden things in the classroom this week. If you click on the magnifing glass when logged into your child's account you will be taken to a scavenger hunt list. All of the things on that list can be found hidden somewhere in our classroom but many have invisible spaces so you will have to click around to find each of these things. We have added these to try and hook in our Hillary ākonga as we know the lockdown is taking its toll on many of us.

This week our hui groups will be changing again. Mr Curtin has gone back to school to be a bubble teacher for those back under Level 3 guidelines at school so we have changed our groups to accommodate this. We have attached the groups lists and you will have all received an invite to your child's email account with these new times as well. Please ensure you are using this new link to get into your meetings. We have also included a list of our themes for the week. We have added these to liven up our hui for the last week and we will also be finishing up with a whole class hui on Friday in which we will be doing some baking together - parents prepare for a sugar high. We will be making cake in a cup for BREAKFAST or morning tea if you can get them to drag it out long enough.

You will notice in our virtual classroom that Whaea Kate and Mrs Kane are trying to get out the door as we so eagerly await that Level 2 announcement in the hopes that we can get back outside and to a semi normal life again. Mr Curtin's joined the school bubble so he has made his escape already.

We will be continuing with our PM reading as our reading platform this week, as well as maths via our google slides. Our writing will be about some fun science experiments, and we will be learning some dances for our P.E this week. Make sure to check out Mr Curtin's digital tech assignments popping up in the Digital Technology tab of our google classroom, check Whaea Deb's site for the daily challenge and some tasks to complete, and remember to find and learn a poem for our poetry retell once we return to school.

Ngā mihi nui,

Georgia and Kat
